FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the first step?2018-03-21T00:08:14+00:00

The first step is a detailed phone consultation to understand your needs and whether Lindsey is the right therapist for you. If you mutually decide to move forward, Lindsey will schedule an in-person assessment to continue discussing your needs, the fit and to get started on a treatment plan.

How often do you meet with patients?2018-10-27T00:56:18+00:00

Generally sessions begin weekly but may become more sporadic as goals are reached.

Do you accept Insurance?2020-05-21T13:41:40+00:00

Lindsey does not participate in most insurance networks. Clients are provided with billing statements that include the information required by the insurance carrier. Clients submit this information directly to their insurance.  As an initial step, you can call your insurance provider to inquire about their reimbursement rate for out-of-network therapy provided by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Can you prescribe medicine?2018-03-21T00:04:35+00:00

As a clinical social worker, Lindsey does not prescribe medication, but she does regularly coordinate with prescribing doctors. With your permission, Lindsey will reach out to your current physician and work jointly with him or her. If you are already taking medication, you will continue to be followed by your physician or nurse practitioner. If you are interested in having Lindsey recommend a psychiatrist for a medication evaluation or second opinion, she would be happy to do so.

What are the fees?2020-05-21T13:41:23+00:00

There is no charge for the initial 15-20 minute phone consultation. If Lindsey does not participate in your insurance network, there is a flat $175 fee/hour.

What are the hours?2018-10-27T00:58:26+00:00

Lindsey is in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. She will also meet with families on the occasional Saturday.

Do you accept credit cards?2018-03-21T12:30:16+00:00

Yes. Lindsey accepts all major credit cards along with HSA (Health Savings/Reimbursement Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards.
